We have a wide range of spectacle frames to cover all budgets and are happy to accommodate each individual client’s spectacle needs.However, there may be optical benefit available to you, here’s how we help to get you covered;If you are working and paying a PRSI contribution, applying for optical benefit couldn’t be easier. At Tunney Opticians, we simply need your PPSN and date of birth to make a secure online application through the Department of Social Protection. This process takes a few minutes and if you have been approved, you are covered for a FREE eye examination and FREE glasses if required. All it takes is one quick call to our reception team and you could be approved and booked in for your eye examination within minutes.Alternatively, you may wish to apply for optical benefit using your Medical Card. If you hold a full and valid Medical Card, you are entitled to a FREE vision check and FREE glasses. The application process is a little different, but we have it in hand. Simply phone Tunney Opticians with your Medical Card number and we will fill out the application form on your behalf over the phone. We will then post it to your local civic centre for approval, who will return the approved form to YOUR home address. Once you have received the authorised form, contact us again, and we will book your vision check at our store.We have a huge selection of frames at Tunney opticians and many of our clients choose to upgrade from the selection of FREE spectacles provided.
